  • A 2020 meta-analysis looked at 27 randomized controlled trials using CBD to treat chronic pain. It found significant improvements in pain levels among those taking CBD versus placebo.
  • Multiple studies found CBD reduced intense nerve pain and improved sleep in people with multiple sclerosis. CBD also decreased muscle spasticity in MS patients.
  • CBD improved pain management and mobility in a trial of people with rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Research on CBD for cancer pain found it decreased pain levels comparable to opioid medications without the side effects.

While more clinical research is still needed, current evidence supports CBD as a promising natural treatment for relief of chronic pain with minimal adverse effects.
